What Web Site or App should we use in 6th Grade and why?
6th grade--please read the question and comment. Be sure to proofread before you post.
For your first blog post comment, we will start with something simple. It's your turn to teach me something about technology. Please tell me at least one web site or app that you think we should use in school and why. The goal is to state your opinion, explain the web site/app and persuade me to agree with you. You might be thinking, how long does this have to be? Well, that depends on you. I'm not looking for length, I'm looking for quality of the sentences and if you completed the task.
To recap--Information needed--
- Name of web site/app.
- Brief summary with details about the site/app.
- Explain your reasons why this site/app should be used in our classroom, meaning--prove it.
- Include a link to the web site/app.
English grade based on including all required information listed above, spelling, and standard English skills correctly used.

DeleteWe should use a 3D design website called TinkerCad. It's a 3D design website that allows you to design 3D objects, and if you want you could even 3D print it. We should use it because there are a lot of 3D printing jobs in the U.S.A. There are over 100 3D companies just in Illinois We should start practicing soon because kids in our class might have jobs in some of those companies. Here is the link to the website, TinkerCad https://www.tinkercad.com/

This did look like a fun site, when I saw your class using this in computer class. Remember, don't start a sentence with BECAUSE unless you can form the sentence correctly. Directions not completely followed, but you are off to a good start.

Deletehttp://www.kidsdinos.com/dinosaurs-for-kids/
ReplyDeleteWe should use this dinosaur site because this site has very good information, facts, and games that will increase your knowledge on dinosaurs, flying reptiles, an early land animals. This site is child-friendly, so there will not be anything scary, inappropriate, or anything a child should not be seeing on the internet. Especially when you´re looking for a site that has knowledge on the worlds biggest creatures.

DeleteWe should use an online art website called YouiDraw Painter. It is an online painting site that has different painting, pencil, text, and shape tools. Because we can't paint on canvases anymore, we should use this site because it would give us the opportunity to do many more art projects. Link: http://site.youidraw.com/painter.html
ReplyDeleteI never heard of this site, so thank you for listing an art site. I think we will be able to paint on a canvas this year, but probably after the holidays. Good job! BTW--great use of starting a sentence with a subordinate clause.

It allows you to practice your basic math, and as you go through the levels it gradually gets harder. If we get this app it will engage our students in,math facts, algebra, number sense, and rational numbers.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to proofread before you publish--one space after a comma. I will look into this app. Because a generous and kind parent bought us iTunes cards to add apps, there should be enough on the cards to buy this if the app fits our needs. Great description! Thanks for adding the 2nd post Cari, so I know this was from you.
