November Bulletin Board

6th and 7th grade students worked together to make the decorations for the November bulletin board. Stay tuned for the photo of the finished bulletin board about our blessings.

5th Grade Social Studies

5th grade students working together to research and create a Google Slides presentation about Native Americans from Illinois.


SWS 6th Gr. Red Ribbon Week

This week SWS is celebrating Red Ribbon Week with daily activities to remind us treat ourselves with respect by avoiding unhealthy habits. On Monday, we said the Red Ribbon Pledge as a school. Each class also tied a red ribbon around a tree outside the school to show everyone who passes by that we strive to make good choices.






On Tuesday, student "Turned a page on drugs," by creating a bookmark that displayed positive saying, designs, and images.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week--LIFE IS YOUR JOURNEY. TRAVEL DRUG FREE.


This is the time for our students to be made more aware of the dangers of the dangers of drugs and alcohol.


Below is a list of the daily events for the week of October 22-26.
--Monday, Oct. 22--PLEDGE DAY--The school pledge will be recited during the morning announcements. Each class will tie a red ribbon around the trees of the school grounds.

--Tuesday, Oct. 23--TURN THE PAGE ON DRUGS--Students will design a bookmark with anti-drug sayings and use it with their favorite book.

--Wednesday, Oct. 24--RED RIBBON MASS @ 8:15 A.M.

--Thursday, Oct. 25--REACH OUT TO THE COMMUNITY--Students are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Parish Food Pantry.

--Friday, Oct. 26--RED DAY--Students may wear a touch of red with their uniforms.
